Town staff and developers presented options to Breckenridge Town Council in 2022 regarding Stables Village, a workforce housing project that aimed to address housing needs for middle class families and will be located adjacent to the Lincoln Park neighborhood. Currently, 5 single-family homes, 38 duplex and 18 triplex homes for workforce housing are planned to be built.
In May, the Town issued a request for proposals for a new housing development to provide homeownership on the 38-acre Stillson Parcel, which is owned by the Town. Stables Village, LLC managed by Suzanne Allen Sabo, won the RFP & was selected to develop the property. Thrive Home Builders will serve as the contractor on the project and is known nationally for its award-winning sustainable and green building practices.
Previously, the parcel was being used by the Breckenridge Equestrian Center who moved out Nov. 1, 2022. The property also serves as the Town of Breckenridge Open Space and Public Works Divisions storage area, as well as a composting location.
